Girl, 16, born without legs and arm sets world record for swimming

A girl who is severely disabled, has won several swimming competitions, and will represent the United States in the upcoming Paralympics.
Kayla Wheeler was without both and an . Her doctor recommended swimming as a form of physical therapy.
Now, at age 16, Wheeler literally is breaking world records.

Wheeler has already competed in Brazil, Mexico and the Netherlands, and has her sights set on competing in the upcoming 2016 Paralympic Games.

In April, Wheeler set the world record the women’s 50 meter butterfly race in the 2013 Can-Am Championships, a prelude to the 2016 Paralympic Games.
“It’s indescribable. When they announced her name that she will be representing the United States, it gave me goosebumps all over. I’m so amazed that she is my child,” Joyce Wheeler, Kayla’s mother said.
“I always her that there is nothing that you can not do, you might just have to find a way to do it, and she has pushed the envelope,” her mother also said.
“I can’t believe that a person so disabled as wheeler can achieve so much. This girl is a true miracle,” Diane Hansen, 31, of Boston, Massachusetts told  after watching Wheeler swim.
Wheeler did not stop at swimming, she also plays baseball, bowling and skis.
